Anyone familiar with the Grand Caymen Resort?

Wife and I with a couple of friends are planning a trip to the Carribean in August, we're using Interval International to book our trips and they list the Grand Caymen Resort. I was wondering if anyone has stayed there or know anything about it? How does it compare to the other resorts?

Thanks!

Kevin

I guess you must be talking about the Grand Caymanian Resort. It is a relatively new resort, but is located on North Sound, not 7 Mile Beach.

How is Grand Caymanian for a family vacation with two children? I heard they have a manmade beach, what is that like? How far is 7mile beach and family style restaurant? We rented a car so traveling is OK.
Thanks for any help regarding this property.

Although I have not been to this resort, everything I've read seems pretty consistant. The resort being somewhat new is supposed to be nice, but unfortunately the beach is below average. It is in fact located on the north sound, so don't expect much for a swimming beach. Seven mile beach is a very short 5 minute car ride away, but you still have to do it. One of the best parts of Grand Cayman is Seven Mile Beach. It offers a variety of places to stay, and has busy areas, and very quiet areas. I simply wouldn't go to GC if I wasn't on 7MB. Remember, this is simply my opinion. The island has many choices, such as the 7MB area, or the very remote & quiet east end. If being on a great beach is important to you, the the Grand Caymanian will be disapointing.

Last year we stayed at the Grand Caymanian and the year before on 7MB on the North end in a condo. We enjoyed both trips. The Grand Caymanian is a very nice resort, new, lots of activities, a bar & restaurant on site, tennis courts, nice pool, however the man made beach isn't for swimming. Hope this helps.

Forgot to add that the resort is located on a great golf course, with discounts to guests. Any other questions?

the grand caymanian is adjacent to the Links at Safehaven golf Course.
I would check the grand caymanian website and check out if there are any golf packages. Sorry, I do not know the web site but I am sure one fo the search engines can find it for you.
