Anguilla/St. Martin - jackets needed for dinner?
We're heading off to Anguilla and St. Martin in about 2 weeks, with plans to dine at some of the nicer establishments on both islands, e.g. Blanchards, Le Santal, etc. Experience tells me most tropical dining locations do not require jackets for men, but I've read some websites/reviews, etc. that lead me to believe that they are required...
Experience? Any good resources to confirm before we go?

There are always a few with jackets on, my husband always wears a nice shirt and pants. Tommy Bahama type things (no logos though, lol) I dont know of too many places that require jackets. I would check with individual restaurants if there is one that you really are not sure about. But it has never been my experience that we have been turned away or felt out of place.

We have eaten numerous times in the past 10 years at the very best restaurants in Anguilla -- my husband has NEVER taken a jacket to the island & has blended right in everywhere (nice pants -- usually khakis -- and a "tropical" shirt not tucked in).

AES - also last year we went to St Martin, Anguilla and Nevis (all the same trip) for a week each island. My husband brought 3 pairs of dress pants (khaki type) and shirts with collars, we ate in all really nice places, no jacket. We have been pretty much to every island and he has never brought a jacket. Hope that helps!
