20 years

Ok; here’s the deal. This is our 20 year wedding anniversary. We don’t have a lot of time probably 4 nights. Have been to GC (with the kids) loved it. Been to a sandals in the Bahamas loved it as well. Been to T & C (with kids) LOOOVED it. This however should be a little different. 1: Would like AL because of time and we do like to get on the beach and kick back with a good drink. 2: Would like it if the room had a hot tub in it or its own plunge pool (Remember 20 years and no kids). 3: We like to snorkel and love to dance (no we do not do the waltz) but does not have to be on the resort. 4: Like nice things and need the time to ourselves. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. OH! June 26th is our date and would be around the time we will go.

Thanks

Congratulations!

Have you checked out the Royal Hideaway Playacar or El Dorado Resort on the Riviera Maya in Mexico? Beautiful beaches, upscale adult-only resorts with wonderful pools and plunge pools, great dining, quiet and relaxing, but close to Playa del Carmen for nightlife and shopping.

It is a relatively easy trip from most places in the U.S. It has the beautiful Caribbean waters with the Mexican charm.

Best Regards,
Julia

My friend and I are staying at the Royal Playa del carmen in a few weeks (mother's day gift). It looks like the Royal Cancun has swim up room suites and all the rooms at both resorts have jacuzzis (sp?). Read the reviews on Trip Advisor. For 4 nights, you don't want to spend forever to get there, so I find I am happy as long as there is blue water, drinks, good food and nice accomodations. There is no dancing and it's not on the beach (you won't miss it), but on the cliffs is The Caves, Jamaica. My husband and I were there in March and can't wait to return. It's a small boutique all inclusive. One of the most relaxing, romantic trips we've ever had. You get 1 dinner in a cave with 100 candles and flowers and a sunset in a private hot tub. Snorkeling was good, room was unique and beautiful. We love to try different places, but this is one we will definitely return to soon. It was just different then your typical resort. A perfect romantic getaway from the 3 kids.

I was also going ot suggest the Royal Playa del Carmen.
Check here for some great pictures:

It is right in Playa del Carmen so you can just walk to town and dance every night!

You also might want to look into the new Iberostar Paraiso Grans--adults only, butler service, the ultimate in pampering.
