Yet another Montreal Hotel Question

I saw that a similar question was posted earlier but I thought I would ask again. My boyfriend and I (30 years old) are planning to go to Montreal at the end of March and were considering the Ritz, Loews, Omni or the Hilton. We want to go out to fun restaurants and bars. Which hotel would be best for that? Also, will we be miserably cold the last weekend in March? Thanks in advance for your response!

What were the responses on the other post? Have you read all the posts on Montreal Hotels?
In order of my preference for the best at the top to the worst at the bottom:
Omni-big, excellent service, get a room facing rue Sherbrook on high floor. The Best location with a view.
Loews-on a side street, has to rely on the comfort of the rooms and attitude. It is ok, in a very good spot as far as being close to everything.
Ritz-old and tired.Skip it.
Hilton-never stayed there.

I can vouch for Loews- great hotel, great rooms, good location. Another hotel that I have been quite happy with is the Novotel, in the same general area. Not same class as Loews, but it costs less and provides good room and service.

For a fun evening check out Hurley's Irish pub on Rue Crescent, good food, good beer and excellent live Irish music every night.

I stayed at the Loew's Vogue over New Years and it was PERFECT. The service was great, the rooms were some of the best I have ever stayed in...and the Opera Bar, let's just say it was a good time. The location can't be beat.

Hilton is a little too south for the happening streets.
Everyone says Ritz is old even if they did renovate, so it must be true.
Omni is a good hotel, larger than Loews. Either if these would do but as someone pointed out, Loews is located on a street that doesn't give you a wide view of the mountain.
