What exactly is peak time at Lake Louise Alberta?

My dream is to stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, but I would need to go when rates are lowest.

Thanks!

Great dream. This hotel is beautiful and romantic. I have stayed a few times and every room is beautiful. Ask for a room overlooking the lake. When you call them you can just ask when the rates are lower. Some of my friends have been able to book cheaper rooms on the internet. Summer and ski season are the expensive times. If you like to ski it is one of Canada's premier places to ski and well worth it.
Enjoy your night.

Ok excuse my stupidity but when is ski season? I'm don't ski at all. Ideally I'd like to go when there was snow around, but I suppose whenever there is snow, that is ski season. So Fall and Late Spring are probably cheapest?

Rooms in October are cheaper than they are in September or August. In the summer, the cheapest room is $574 C per night plus tax. That converts to about $410 per night US$ The room is 165 square feet. A room 11 x 15 is not very big.
Larger rooms are available but they are more expensive. A junior suite is $924 Canadian per night, or over $650 US.

I am glad to know there are people who can pay that much for one night.

October would probably be nice, thanks for the info. I think we've stayed in smaller rooms than that in London. My fiance and I don't need much space.

I can't help it, I am totally suckered into the beauty of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

It is a great hotel--but I only stay there when I am going to a conference and can use my expense account! Keep in mind that you will encounter approx $100 of added stuff (room taxes, parking, etc.) per day!
