Tour 2009: maritime provinces

I would like your opinion on the following:normally our tour would be:
Halifax (two days)-via Peggy's cove to Lunenburg-Then from there to Yarmouth and on to Annapolis Royal but I found in one of our guide books that they skip Yarmouth and go from Lunenburg via Kejimkujik park to Ann.Royal cutting off the southern tip of N.S. We could gain one day with this route and spend an extra day around ST John or go via ST Andrews to Fredericton. Thanks for your input.Paul

I cannot comment on your proposed change in route but I am wondering if you have allowed time for Cape Breton during your Maritime tour? Do you have a copy of the NS Doers' and Dreamers' Travel Guide( novascotia.com). It will help you w/ route planning, among other things.
Enjoy Nova Scotia....my favorite place!!!( hence my screen name)

We have the doers and dreamers book and have already, at the advise on this FORUM added more time for Cape Breton by eliminating the northern part of N.Brunswick.Paul

If you do not have time to do both, I would take the direct route from Lunenburg to Annapolis Royal through the park and spend the day saved going to Fredericton via St. Andrews. I assume that you will be taking the ferry from Digby to Saint John. St. Andrews is a lovely town which would make a good overnight stop on your trip.

September is a wonderful time to visit The Maritimes.
Are you flying to Halifax or where?

We will be flying from Brussels to London and from London to Halifax by Air Canada. We wont be taking the ferry but continue our tour from Annapolis to Truro-via Moncton to Alma and St John and could use the day gained by the suggested road to Fredericton via St Andrews. Thanks for your input.Paul
