Toronto Flight Delays/Cancellations
I am traveling Raleigh,NC to Munich, Germany via Toronto on 29 December. It is imperative I arrive in Munich on 30 Dec. and could not get a flight on the 28th. I realize you cannot predict the future, but can anybody give me an idea about the chances of delays/cancellations at that time?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Bebe2: I think you already know the answer! You will be travelling during Canadian winter over the Christmas/New Years holiday. The chances of delays/cancellations are probably greater during Holiday travel in the winter. But,having said that, I have been travelling in & out of Toronto over the Christmas/New Years holidays for almost 25 years now & I have rarely experienced significant delays. So, did I just luck out over 25 years? Who knows? I have had major delays in October b/c of fog so one never knows! Your situation is such that there is nothing you can do about it. So.... stop worrying. Or, if it is going to make you crazy, then try to get a flight on the 27 or the 26 to allow for some margin of error.

With the recent weather here this winter, and delays, I would also recommend having a margin of error if you have to be in Munich on the 30th. We've had delays flying out of Toronto on different airlines in February, August and October with both weather and aircraft problems, and usually allow for that possibility if there is a wedding, connection, or another important date to factor in.
Better safe than sorry, right?
