Tofino: What's your favorite hike/walk?
After researching, I have a long list of walking trails and hikes in Pacific Rim National Park, Tofino, and Ucluet.
Would love to know your favorites or ones that should not be missed!
thanks!

Hey there, I meant to respond when you posted this but didn't get a chance.
My favorites are the 2 rainforest trails (but they were closed due to storm damage when we were there at Christmas--hopefully they will be reopened by the time you visit), and the walk from the Wickanninish Visitor Center to Florencia Beach (I think it's about 3 miles each way--you can drive to a trailhead that's closer to Florencia but I like to take the walk). I also really enjoy just walking on Long Beach (which is in the park) and Chesterman Beach (which isn't).
Also Tonquin Park just outside of the town of Tofino is cool to visit--not really much of a hike but it's a cool little "hidden" beach.

Take the Ferry over to Bamfield and do a day hike on the West Coast Trail.

It's not really a walk, more of a stroll, but while in Tofino be sure to go to Radar Hill (an abandoned DEW-line station). You get a terrific view over the ocean and along the coast of the island.
Another very enjoyable walk is Chesterman Beach - again, not a trail as such, just a gorgeous beachside ramble.
There is a third walk through a patch of forest wnear Tofino here the trees have been stunted by acidic soil conditions (hope I'm remembering this right - it's a few years since I've been there) and now look like mid-size Bonzai trees. There is a boardwalk throughout the forest. I can't recall the name of the trail off-hand but will look it up and post again soon.
