Taboo Resort (muskoka sands) Advice?
Hi all,
What's the word on the new Taboo Resort
north of Toronto? New management I hear...
some of the reviews are a little iffy on
the internet. Are they in transition...
should I wait a few summers before heading
up that way? Do they have a beach area and
does it get too crowded in August?
Appreciate all comments,

Yes, I've gotten mixed reviews...
I called Taboo reservations and asked
them if I should wait awhile until
the new management can get things
organized...they of course said "no,
things have gotten much better over
the last year." But in the meantime,
one recent review (on TripAdvisor?)
said something about new beds...hard
as rocks??!! I don't know if they
bought new mattresses for the whole
resort, or just certain areas. All
in all, it's probably an ok place to
stay...but I'm guessing a much better
place in a year or two. Considering
the room rates they are asking, I
will hold off until I am 100% certain
things have improved. (The reservation
clerk also said they have been having
problems getting good help, which is
consistant with some of the reviews on
the internet.) If you decide to go, call
and find out exactly which areas have
been renovated. Ask alot of questions,
and you may end up with a perfectly
fine vacation.
Good Luck
