small hotel montreal/plateau

hello,

i have done some research and know that we probably want to stay in the plateau area of montreal but need direction regarding where to stay.

We would like a small boutique style hotel, but also not on the high end of cost. I have been searching thru the messages but would be grateful for some recommendations.

thanks, all !

Hi mimda,
We stayed at Anne Ma Soeur Anne on St. Denis: http://www.annemasoeuranne.com

It is small, cozy, economical and the location is super.

There is also Auberge de la Fontaine, right in front of Parc Lafontaine. http://www.aubergedelafontaine.com/site/fr/index.cfm

thank you again, i will look into both.

i am finding, though, that some of the smaller hotels do not have any rooms available..we are visiting next week.

the travel sites seem to mostly offer the larger hotels in Downtown.

any suggestions are welcome......

We stayed in Hotel Manor des Alpes.
Perfect location - walking distance from old town and downtown. Near St. Dennis street and metro station. Free parking and breakfast. We paid arond $90 for a big room with private bathroom. Here is their website:
