Shaw Festival-The Falls-Toronto, Part 1
I am back from my 8 day trip to Ontario to see The Falls and all the plays at The Shaw Festival at Niagara-on-the-Lake.

I stayed at the Stamford Village B&B. I want to say that this B&B, which is opposite the Stamford Green, is the best I have ever stayed at. Ask for the blueberry scones for breakfast. The breakfasts were so enormous that I did have to tell them to stop. You got a good assortment of fresh fruit, fresh squeeze orange juice, home made pastries, eggs cooked anyway you wanted.

When I left, I got blueberry scones to take with me. Hey, folks, they did not survive the long drive back. They disappeared for good somewhere in Pennsylvania. The website for the Stamford Village B&B is

www.stamfordvillageb-b.com

or

www.bbcanada.com/stamfordvillagebb

The B&B is central to the entire Niagara region, but is not "right there" if you want to be able to walk to the plays or The Falls. I chose it because it was less pricey than similar places on NOTL and it worked for me. I would stay there again mostly because the hosts were such friendly people. They actually took my photo when I left because I stayed there longer than anyone else had (8 days). Who knows? Maybe I will end up on their website. LOL.

OK, I should have posted one after the other on the thread. That having been said, someone is always available to make a positive comment.

The entire trip report can also be read on the independenttraveler.com

The site for the entire report is

http://messages.independenttraveler.com/2/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=457093444&f=651099105&m=58230445 76&r=5823044576#5823044576

It is exactly the same as the report on fodors but over time, the report may be easier to find on the independenttraveler.com due to the fodors format and the erratic nature of the search function.

Post a helpful trip report, get an insult from an anonymous troll. Such is life on line.
