Quebec City in June

We may be planning a trip to Quebec City in June from Washington D. C. I'm having trouble finding flights from here to Quebec City and two I've found are so expensive. Does anyone know which airlines fly there other than Air Canada. I know we have to change planes in Montreal.
Any advice will be useful.

It's mostly Air Canada, but Continental does have a couple of flights a day from Newark. I don't know what the fares might be.

We had the same problem on our trip and solved it by booking a flight to montreal, spending a day there and taking a bus to Quebec... the difference in price paid for a hotel night in Montreal, gave us a chance to see the city and most of the bus trip.... just a thought...

That's a good idea. How long is the bus ride? Where does it let you off in Quebec? Thanks for that suggestion.

Even better than the bus is the train. It's a pleasant 3 hour trip from downtown to downtown.

Westjet is a Canadian airline that flies from Toronto to Quebec City - if you can get a cheap flight to Toronto that may be another option.

Hi, mckim -

You can also take a train from Montreal.

Hope that helps!

McKim, I'm from Northern Virginia. You're right, flights to Quebec are epensive. If you fly into Montreal, you may want to look into Orleans Express. It's a bus line that I've used it two or three times to get from Montreal to Quebec City. I can't recall off of the top of my head if the station in Montreal has a subway stop at it or not, but I do know that the bus station in Quebec is in the same building, or complex of buildings as that of the train station. The bus station in Montreal is, as I recall,in a low rent area. Maybe I was being foolish, but I didn't feel uncomfortable walking around the area during the day. The station is clean. From my experience,a cross section of the population uses this route. During my last trip, I sat next to a lovely 70+ year-old woman goint to visit her son in Quebec. Have fun!
