PEI in late October
My sister, her husband, my husband and I are looking on taking a trip the end of Oct. We have enjoyed our trips to Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland. My husband is interested in going to PEI and NS where we have never been. Is it a good time to visit there or should we choose another place for visiting this time of year? We are all in our late 50's. Any information would be "GREATLY" appreciated. Thank you!

If you can, travel to gorgeous Cape Breton Island on Nova Scotia the week of Oct. 8-16 so you can attend some of the Celtic Colours concerts. Celtic Colours is an internationally-renowned Celtic music festival with dozens of events held throughout the island. The trees should be wonderful hues at that time. The festival's website is www.celtic-colours.com

Most tourism attractions, including national parks, etc., may be closed for the season towards the end of the month. I would highly recommend you visit before or just around the Thanksgiving weekend.

Dear Bobbijo, Tanya is right about closing times here on Cape Breton Island just about everything from the national parks to gifts shop usually close by the 15th of Oct Louisbourg will be open till the very end of oct same as baddeck for the bell museum due to the cruise ships coming in til oct 24th the cabot trail will be open but no guides will be on any site on after oct 15. I hope this helps with the info you wanted by all means when your here attend a celtic colours concert its well worth it.
