Parking/Subway in Montreal

We plan to stay at a hotel in the outskirts of Montreal. Is it possible to park our car at a subway station and take the subway into downtown/Old Montreal? Do they have park/ride lots or pay lots by the subway stations?

I checked stm.info but could find no info on parking at metro stations. You could phone. This copied from stm.info.

If ever you’re not sure of results or if you prefer to talk to someone, you can contact our Information Centre by calling STM-INFO, press 8 for English and select option 7 (514 786-4636 + 8 + 7).

It would depend on which outskirts of Montreal; Longueuil metro is the only station I recall having a parking lot......

Some train stations in the suburbs have parking areas but is somewhat limited since the morning commuters fill them up early.

Why stay in the burbs in the first place if you are going to go downtown all the time?

Agrignon has parking too, But remember if your not in the city proper there may not be any Metro at all only buses and if your off island some places dont even have that. When I go to the Hockey Game (aaaaaahhhh Hockey cant wait) I park at Agrignon and take the Metro, but normally Montreal is a very easy city to drive Most streets are east west North south or in our case parallel to the river or up and down the mountain. Even near Old Montreal,Crescent, St. Denis you can find parking most nights of not on the street then in a parking. Our parking is cheap compared to many US cities, I have paid as high as 75 US in Boston and NY but here the max per night will be around 15 and thats in canadian pesos.
