Does anyone know if there is a parking lot near the Sheraton Centre Hotel on Queen St in Toronto? Parking at the hotel is $33 a night and I was hoping to find something cheaper... I will be there from 7/5/05-7/8/05.

yes, accross the street near City Hall. Look for Green P parking.

Here's the info with a map and rates for the Green P at City Hall (aka Nathan Phillips Square).

Seems like it's much cheaper.

Excellent - thank you both! It looks like Green P parking is only $13 a day.

"Day" can be defined various ways, and may be from, say, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., resulting in another "evening" rate.

And generally there are no in and out privileges, so if you leave, you get hit with the $13 rate once again when you return.

I'll try to remember to look at the signs if I'm by there in the next day or two.

The advantages of the Sheraton's own parking is that there's more likely to be attendants on duty in the middle of the night. On the other hand, the parking across the street from the hotel is close and convenient and there's even an underground walkway into the hotel from the garage.
