One day in Victoria. What not to miss.
I am in Victoria for one full day because of business. What should I make sure I see in that day? I will be staying at the Empress. Can I see alot on foot? Are there sightseeing tours?? Thanks

Two attractions in Victoria stick in my mind several years after I was there.
#1 Butchart Gardens
#2 The BC Museum
The museum is well laid out. The exhibitions are good to excellent without being overwhelming.
The Gardens are special. I am not much of a garden person, but this one rates a super A+ for excellence.

Butchart Garden's are definately beautiful if you have enough time..If not, from the Empress, you can just walk around the Harbour...It is beautiful..You can take these little sightseeing boats too, I forget what they are called..You will see them in the water..Can take a horse and carriage ride too...Even go whale watching..Have fun.

There are a number of tourist attractions you can go to in the downtown area that are a walking distance away from the Empress:
-Miniature World
-Royal London Wax Museum
-Royal BC Museum
-Crystal Gardens
There are also sightseeing tours you can take:
-Double Decker Buses Rides
-Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
-Whale Watching
You can also walk to Beacon Hill Park for a picnic.
If you would like to view the official web sites of the above places/businesses, you can find all the links at my personal web page "Greg's Victoria Links":
