Muskoka versus Kawartha Lakes

We visited Kawartha Lakes region a few years ago and loved the area. It was alive with history, cultural events and scenery.

How does Muskoka compare. We would like to find a small, rustic-ish quiet cabin with great hosts on the lake somewhere. any suggestions??

Thanks

Bigger rocks in Muskoka.

Fewer farms in Muskoka because of the terrain.

Well worth visiting.

Wouldn't we all.

www.resortsofontario.com probably has lots of good info.

If the web site offers publications, order them. their flyers in newspapers, etc., are well done, wioth good photographs.

If you find somewhere you like, book early because Muskoka is very popular.
