Marriott Pinnacle

I will be arriving in Vancouver on the 30th of November. I am having a hard time deciding between the Marriott Pinnacle and the Metropolitan Hotel. I know the Pinnacle is a bit further from Robson - but I'm assuming it's an easy walk ? I'll be staying for a week and would prefer the most comfortable hotel. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The only thing better about the Pinnacle would be the views. Not that the Pinnacle is bad - it's very good, but the Metropolitan is slightly better quality and is much better located - especially in late November when the conditions for walking are poor. Being directl;y accross from the Pacific Centre and being only three blocks from Robson Street will come in very handy when it's wet and blustery.

I stayed at the Pinnacle last year when it was still a Delta hotel. Huge rooms, floor to ceiling windows on both outside walls. Excellent service. I guess I am not surprised it has changed its marque to Marriott; it seemed too good to be a Delta.

The Metropolitan was originally built in 1985 as a Mandarin hotel so the quality of the facilities is five star. This includes the fantastic health spa. The service though is 4 star on the equivilant of a Marriott.
