Lobster in late September?
Three of us (sisters) are planning a trip from Ottawa to PEI in the middle of September. Will we still be able to find good lobster that late? What about the lobster "suppers"?
Thanks for any advice.

Don't know about the lobster suppers, but yes, you'll be able to gt freesh, delicious, lobster, even out of season.
There are "Lobster pounds" throughout the province, where lobster caught earlier are kept under the ocean in giant nets. Imagine a diving float in an Ontario lake, with a trap door on the top, and lobsters living underneath.

Charlottetown is having their 10th annual Shellfish Festival on the weekend of Sept 17. Def will have lobster there. You can google or check out the PEI tourism site for more info.
I'm heading there for it, and plan to burn it all off by running the Terry Fox run on Sunday...a great cause!
Enjoy-la!!

My birthday is September 15. If any of you need an excuse for ordering a third or forth lobster, feel free to celebrate on my behalf.
Boiled or steamed, lots of melted butter, and if you have lemon merangue pie for desseert, eat this before the last few bites of the butter-soaked tail, please.
