Hello, any advice about choosing between these 2 properties for a 3 night stay in August? We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, ages 8 and 11. They are about the same price for us, and I know the Jasper Inn is right in the town and has an indoor pool. Becker's sounds nice also, but is outside the town and has no pool. I wonder what peoples' opinions are on these 2 places.

I stayed there about 10 years ago and loved it. Cute little cabins with fireplaces. Some are right on the Athabaska (SP?) River. Resturant was great. Marilyn Monroe & Robt. Mitchum stayed there while they made the movie, River of No Return.

There is a nice playground for kids at Becker's but no pool- we were there June 30 and July 1st- nice living room and nice deck. Grounds are spread out along the river.

Can't help you choose - we stay in Becker's in the summer, and the Jasper Inn when we do our long weekend in January trip, so I like them both. My questions are, do you have a car? If not, being in the townsite might be better for you. Also, how important is the pool to you and your family?

It was too cold June 30-July 1st to use a pool in Jasper! Don't know about later- we didn't get to sit out on the deck or by the river as much as we had planned to!
