Internal Flight from Vancouver

I'm trying to book an internal flight from Vancouver to Calgary as part of an upcoming trip in September. Just got a couple of quick questions. Firstly, how long would it take to get from a downtown hotel near Robson Street to Vancouver airport on a weekday morning? And secondly, what time do you need to check in before flying - is it an hour for an internal flight?

Thanks

Can't answer part one of dmjapril's post, but hope somebody else can?

However, for domestic flights you will need to arrive 90 minutes prior to flight time (at least, that is the reccommendation).

About 1/2 hour trip (may be less or more depending on traffic)

Just my 2 bits...IIRC it takes 30 mins in the best conditions to get to YVR from downtown. On a weekday morning, with rush hour (Vancouver has bad traffic) I would leave 45-60 minutes to get there. If traffic happens to be light, oh well I'd rather watch the planes from the airport (there's lots of eateries, places for a drink, shops, etc.) rather than stress about being late. The issue is you have to cross 2 bridges to get to the airport.

Enjoy-la!

I totally agree with Klamchowder. Do not leave it too late to get to the airport. Anything can happen along the way. Better to spend time there than sitting in traffic being stressed out.

Are you looking at westjet for your flight? They have some of the better deals.
