Hotel/Condo recommendations in Whistler

We are starting to think about skiing for next winter, and thought we would try Whistler. WE are a family of four, and prefer to be a short(5 minute) walk to the slopes, and no more than a 10 minute walk to restaurants etc. We would prefer a condo type setup with laundry and a pool. Would like to under 800 per day for accomodations.

For one of the nicest ski in/ski out condos , go to www.whistlerluxurycondo.com or for a Quiet village condo( free shuttle to lifts, but very close to all restaurants, etc,) go to www.whistlercondodirect.com
For all Whistler info, go to www.whistlerblackcomb.com
Cheers, Al

Many of the hotel rooms at Whistler include kitchens or kitchenettes, complete with dishes and utensils There's also a full size supermarket within the resort for groceries.

If your limit is $800 a day you should easily find something. The Pan Pacific, which is one of the closest hotels to the gondola, has 2 bedroom units for less than $800.

My favorite place to stay at Whistler is the Horstmann house. The units are large with full kitchens washer/dryers in units. The free bus stops right in front and is great for accessing lifts and village. You can walk to the village in~ 15-20min from here as well.

Another great place to stay is THE ASPENS. The complex is directly on Blackcomb's Wizard run, with a pool, 3 jacuzzas, ski valet service in the building, common room with games and huge tv and gym.
1 and 2 bedroom condos. I suggest you ask for a complex end unit directly overlooking Blackcomb. When we go to Whistler we use "blackcombpeaks.com" Very personable.
The Blackcomb area is quieter at night while being less than a 10 minute stroll to the village. The base of Blackcomb has great restaurants (Chateau Whistler is next door and The Four Seasons is nearby) and the kid's ski school and play area are also at the base.
Have a great trip.
