The Hyatt goes for $40 U.S. on Priceline. See www.biddingfortravel.com first before bidding on Priceline.

There are two Fairmonts in Downtown Vancovuer. The Fairmont Vancouver is Vancouver's 'Dowager' Hotel and is kitty corner to the Hyatt so the location is the same. That location is excellant especially for shopping and is pretty well at the centre of all the Downtown area. The Fairmont Waterfront is right accross from Canada Place which is the major convention centre and Cruise ship terminal. From a visual and sensual viewpoint the Waterfront is the better choice but it's an uphill 4 block walk to the downtown core. It's also just off Gastown which is a major tourist attraction with great restaurants and touristy stores.

The Hyatt recently underwent a major renovation and upgrade of it's facilities. The Fairmont Vancouver last upgraded aropund 4 years ago. All three hotels are about equal in service and facilities.
