feedback on hotel de la terrasse dufferin?
Has anyone ever been to the Hotel de la Terrasse Dufferin in Quebec City? We need last minute lodgings for a family of 4 in the old part of town in July. Also, any other ideas of what keeps kids' attention for a quick 2 day visit? Thanks for writing back!

I'm bringing this to the top so someone who has stayed here recently might be able to reply. This hotel has very good reviews on Trip Advisor. I also would like to know if breakfast is included in the price and if parking is near. Thanks to all who can help!

jan: We stayed there six weeks ago and really liked it. The hotel overlooks the St-Lawrence River and boardwalk right next to the Chateau Frontenac. We had a room with balcony on the third floor which we enjoyed each evening; however, they don't have an elevator. Breakfast isn't included in the price. It is $3 CAD, and consists of coffee or tea, a buttery croissant and a tasty muffin. Orange juice can be ordered for an extra $1, but we weren't aware of that and bought a carton which they put in the refrigerator and included on our breakfast tray each day. We would call the front desk each morning shortly before 8 a.m. and breakfast would be delivered to our room within 15 minutes.
The staff was friendly and very helpful, and this hotel would be my first choice if I went to Quebec City again.
Enjoy your trip - its a beautiful city!
