Duty Free Question??

We are flying Toronto-Vancouver-Honolulu. Is there any way we can buy duty free liquor to take with us to carry on. We DON'T want to pack it in our luggage. We were wondering if you can buy duty free liquor in Vancouver and have them take it to the plane or if you buy it AFTER you go thru security?? Thx.

Is it all the same airline? If so, I THINK you can purchase in TO and they will let you take it off in Honolulu.

Here is the website for the Duty Free shop in Vancouver. As you can see they do have a duty free store after you go through security. They also have info on preordering so I would give them a call and find out what the procedure is with your particular flight.

If you go through immigration in Toronto, you buy your duty free there after passsing said immigration. If you do not, then you will go through immigration at Vancouver and have opportunity to buy it there. Either way, it is always carry on. Note, you carry on, you lift into the overhead bins. The carry on limits as to size may be enforced at the boarding gate. Good luck and enjoy.

It's all the same airline - Air Canada. If we go thru immigration in Toronto (which I would suspect)..and am able to buy in duty free there, I assume when we arrive in Vancouver, we don't leave any secured areas? Otherwise I know you couldn't bring liquids on board.

Yes, if you do Immigration in Toronto will be able to stay in the secure area so no problem.
