Crayston's Jasper
Hi,
Has anyone got a recent experience of this 'home accommodation' or anywhere else in Jasper that would be suitable for a couple (no kids) travelling who like to be comfortable but not break the budget!
Thanks

Our family of 4 stayed at Crayston's a year-and-a-half ago and, unless it has new management, I would imagine that it's still in tip-top condition. The property was immaculately kept and very comfortable and pleasant, albeit not luxurious. There is a queen or king-size bed, plus two twins (you could put your suitcases on those) and a nicely-equipped kitchen, small eating area, bathroom, and sitting area with TV. It's on the main street right across from the train tracks, but in our 3 days there we never heard ANY noise from trains. It's within walking distance of all the downtown shops. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Let me know if you have any other questions!

If you have a rental car (and if not, I might suggest that you get one to experince all that Jasper has to offer), go to http://www.alpinevillagejasper.com/website/index.html
I have stayed there, and I really, really liked it. Self-catering options, in private clean bungalows right on the banks of the Athabasca, 5 minutes from town by car. Give it a try!
p.s. they also have an outdoor hot tub...
