Cheapest airfare, Toronto to Vancouver
Hello,
I'm an American trying to plan my honeymoon, and I don't know where to go to find the cheapeast airfare. We are leaving from Toronto and need to go to either Vancouver or Victoria in July and it seems to cost a small fortune for airfare...can anyone recommend some good search engines that will search for Canadian airfares?
Thank!

Toronto to Vancouver is one of the busiest route in Canada, so you won't find extremely low fares, but there are now several low cost airlines that have pretty good fares on this route like Westjet and HMY. Check their websites for fares.
There are also charter airlines in Canada that basically give you the same service, and you can book them through many travel agents. Even travelocity can book Skyservice.

I find that Travelocity often has significantly higher prices for charters than other venues. I have seen some really cheap rates for HMY and Skyservice in the Vancouver Sun. You might try phoning a Canadian branch of Flight Centre or Travel Cuts (two budget-oriented travel agencies).

I'd also try Jetsgo. They're usually cheaper than the others. They don't fly to Victoria until the summer, and I notice that it's still not on their drop-down destination menu but perhaps a phone call would clarify what the rate will be. They do have flights to Vancouver listed, though.
You could try using Destina.ca as a search engine but be advised that Air Canada owns it; they say they search all the airlines but Air Canada always seems to come up. I'd check the Jetsgo website for Vancouver, and perhaps phone them about Victoria.

WestJet, Jetsgo, Harmony and Air Canada. Air Canada can have some really low fares on its web site if you book early or on unpopular flight times. However, most Canadian fares advertised don't include all those taxes and extras - you have to go through pretending to book to see total cost.
Or see what you can find from Buffalo to Seattle...
