Charlevoix worth visiting
I'm going on vacation to quebec for about a week. I wanted to know if it is worth going to Charlevoix for 2 days or can I just go back and forth from quebec.

I stay in Charlevoix.
If you're more interested by dancing in bars, it's certainly not the better place...
But if you love the nature and sport like hiking or kayak, Charlevoix could worth 1 week.
Here some suggestions:
- Parc des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-rivière-Malbaie: Breath taking landscape. It's provincial park...
- I strongly recommend you to take the road #362 which is between Baie-St-Paul and La Malbaie. You'll see there beautiful landscapes. Don't miss the beach at St-Irénée, a very nice place to stop.
- La Malbaie is well known for the gastronomy and its many inns (auberges). There are also the casino and Manoir Richelieux which are popular and very beautiful places. The quay just below are also a pleasant place.

I forgot....
On the road #362, a visite in the island Iles-aux-Coudres could be very fun. The ferry is free. You would appreciate pretty much a ride (15min) on the St-Laurent river by a sunny day.
I live in Charlevoix since I'm young and I do it every summer.

You can easily spend a week in and around Baie-St-Paul and never run out of things to do.
A nice hotel near Baie St-Paul is Auberge Cap-aux-Corbeaux. About 10 minutes outside of town. Spectacular view.

It is definitely worth staying in Charelvoix. The scenic road to Quebec is very pretty, but not to go back and forth. The entire area is worth exploring and beautiful. We stayed 2 days, using the Fairmont Richelieu as a base. The area has been designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. You should not miss it.

With great enthusiasm I recommend Cap Aux Corbeaux in Baie St. Paul, as LouisP recommended. My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon about 10 days ago, and we LOVED this place! The breakfasts are fabulous, the view is breathtaking, and the scenery all around is wonderful. We went to Montreal, Quebec City and all over Charlevoix, and the Charlevoix region was by far our favorite part of the trip. Cap Aux Corbeaux is a gem.

Glad you liked Cap-aux-Corbeaux.
By the way, we also sometimes rent the house just down the street on the left side, at 8 Cap-aux-Corbeaux sud. Lovely!
