Oakwood Manor in Cape North is a favorite of ours. It's a large, modern, private farmhouse. They have rooms, most with whirlpool baths, in the main house area, and a large seperate suite. You wake to peaceful, country sounds and the owners are very friendly.

My absolute favorite place to stay is the Keltic Lodge along the Cabot Trail. If you're going to be in Margaree, then definitely the Normaway Inn. They have a lovely, intimate dinning room. If you're going to pass through Baddeck, the Inverary Inn is nice. <BR> Although the people in Sydney are wonderful, I would skip the town, but don't skip the Louisburg Fort. Have a great time.

Thanks for the replies. Keep them coming. At the moment I'm looking into the Normaway and Oakwood Manor.

Normaway is an excellent choice.
