Hart House is not a B&B - it's a "PHA", private home accommodation. They are not licensed for breakfast. The banfflakelouise.com site is just for the Banff and Lake Louise area - for Jasper hotels, try www.jasper.travel , or for Jasper PHAs and B&Bs, www.stayinjasper.com . You can get a PHA room, with shared bath (shared between 2 rooms) for $60 - $80 per night, or a room with private bath for $80 - $120 per night. Places with suites, or larger units with kitchenettes or a full kitchen go for up to $175 per night. Also, with PHA or B&B, there are no taxes on top of the nightly rate, saving you a further 11% over the rates quoted by the hotels.

My husband and I did the rocky mountaineer in may 2011.
It was 8 days round trip to Vancouver.
Red leaf service is cheaper so it may work for you.
Also, you don't have to to 8 days. Many options- look at the web site.
In gold leaf: we sat in an upper glass dome car, hot meals and unlimited alcohol.
Also stayed in fairmont hotels.
It is very expensive but so beautiful and a trip I will not forget.
