Bon Appetit Magazine- Montreal

Decembers Bon Appetit Magazine has a wonderful article titled Joyeux Montreal!
You can read about Old Town, the hotels (St Sulpice, Nelligan, St James, St paul, Gault and Place D'Armes) and restaurants and see lovely photos of my favorite Canadian city

Thanks for the heads up Scarlett. We will be in Montreal next summer for about a month so I'm starting my research. Haven't been since I was in University and am really looking forward to it.

A month in Montreal? Lucky you!
All of the hotels look so nice, we never stay in the Old Town but they really are tempting. And the food, sigh

Well, at least one of us will be working so I'm not counting on getting the loveliest place to stay - probably not in the old town. Last time DH went for business he wasn't lucky neough to stay there. But the employer can't dictate where we eat! Or shop - Montreal has stores that carry things we can't get anywhere else in Canada. Am going to get the mag this afternoon. Towards the spring I'll likely be asking lots of questions on this Canada board....

I think I have to put the Yankee to work doing something that requires us to live in other cities/countries

Until then, I will go read my magazine ~

Thanks for the heads up, Scarlett.

We stayed at the Hotel Gault during our last visit and loved it. We also loved that section of Vieux Montreal, which seems to be still in the process of revitalization. It reminds us of a cross between our old neighborhood in Philadelphia and Paris. DH wants to look into real estate opportunities there. . .

Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely grab the magazine this afternoon; old mtl is definitely booming, and I seem to gravitate there more recently; for some reason, a lot of montrealers leave old mtl to the tourists, specially in the summer, but we're missing out on a lot of good food opportunities.
