Best place to stay central Toronto

I'm taking my daughter to see Les Mis for her 19th b-day in Sept, I have stayed at the Westin Harbour Castle before but did not like the location. Is it the Sheraton that is central near Eaton Centre???? Any other suggestions?

The downtown Sheraton is called the Sheraton Centre, and it is more or less across the street from the Eaton Centre. (One block west of the Queen Street doors of Eaton Centre)

Hilton is a blcok from this. What theatre has Les Miz? If it's the Princess of Wales, Holiday Inn on King and Le Germain are both a block or so away.

I stayed at the Sheraton Centre in April and found it overpriced and run down. As an example, my floor (gold floor) had ceilings that were pouring water from a broken water pipe, pails and buckets everywhere, the gold floor lounge is only open limited hours. But, and this is a plus, it had probably the best mattresses I have ever slept on and the continental breakfast served on the gold floors was quite nice as were the complimentary snacks in the evening.

However, my room was kind of dismal and cost nearly $300/night.

Les Mis is touring Canada? I wonder if it is coming to Calgary?

There is a brand new boutique hotel - the Cosmopolitain at 8 Colborne Street
which is one block south of Yonge and King.

Rooms features include flat screen TV's.

The Delta Chelsea is also convenient to the Eaton Center (at the north end) and is in a great central location; the Sheraton is situated more to the south end of the Eaton Center on Queen St.
