Bars & Nightlife in Montreal
Going to Montreal for a weekend with a group of my friends...all of us are 19 or 20. Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations or such about good bars and/or clubs to go to for such an age group. Thanks.

There are lots of lively areas in Montreal, here's an overview of the major ones:
Downtown on or near Crescent Street - lots of clubs, Irish pubs, restaurants. A very popular area with US college kids beacuse there is more English spoken here.
Downtown Ontario Street - a row of bars with live music.
St. Laurent from St. Catherine to Mt. Royal - A very lively area, with dance clubs, bars and retaurants. More French speaking than downtown.
St Denis from St. Catherine to Mt. Royal - lots of small bars, cafes, used CD shops, clothing stores, etc. Very much like parts of Paris.

Here's another recommendation for Crescent, between Sherbrooke and Rene-Levesque (you might want to start at Thursdays, and check out the Italian restaurant directly opposite and the Hard Rock next door to that), along with anywhere along St-Denis northwest from the Sherbrooke Metro station. Another great place to wander at night is Vieux Montreal.
