An extra day in Cape Breton or shorten and go to Advocate Harbour?
I am in a huge dilemma. I will be driving from Pictou-Baddeck. Then Baddeck-Pleasant Bay. I am contemplating about spending an extra day there or cutting it short to drive down to the Advocate Harbour area before heading home. Is 2 days enough in Cape Breton (we're driving counterclockwise) or should I pass on going to Advocate Harbour and spend an extra day in the Cape Breton area. I've been told that the scenery in both areas are spectacular. On my way home, I will be on the other side of the Bay of Fundy - driving past Saint John and through Acadia, Maine. Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

Maritimes08: (I like your screen name!) Use the extra day for Cape Breton. It's a good idea to have a "rain/fog" day. Going around the Cabot Trail in the fog is not the best way to do it! When are you going?

Thanks everyone. An extra day in Cape Breton it is! I plan on going at the end of September/early October. Planning on using Baddeck as a stopping point 1-day and then 2-nights in Pleasant Bay so we can do the whale watching and the skyline trail. Is there something else that is a MUST DO?
