Americans Living In Vancouver
My husband and I fell in love with Vancouver and have been discussing living there but we were told our health insurance will not cover us out of the US. How do Americans living in Vancouver find health coverage?

Health care is not your first problem. If you want to move to Canada, you must apply as an immigrant or as a temporary worker. If you are accepted as a permanent resident, then you are covered by the provincial health care system.
You should read the details provided by Citizenship and Immigration Canada on their website.

You can read about helth care in BC on the BC Govt site:

My husband and i are moving to vancouver for a year from this oct.
Are there no Targets in BC? What is a good alternative to Target?
Do you know of a good private pediatrician? We will be coming with a 3-month old and we wont be covered under canadian healthcare.
thanks in advance

HappyTraveling, only some of the people who post on a travel discussion forum are interested in relocation. If you want to find a forum where 100% of the participants are interested in relocation, I suggest you look for a relocation forum. They have them on the Internet. Some of them are specific to a country, and some of them are specific to a city. There are Yahoo groups and that type of thing.
In the meantime the Baby Zone - Vancouver website may be of interest:

The closest Target is in Washington State; at present there are no Targets in Canada. I believe it's in Everett which is a couple of hours' drive from Vancouver - actually a very pleasant, scenic trip if you can handle the delays at the border.
