Adventure Lodge

Here's what I am looking for:
1. Accessible hiking with minimal driving to trailhead.
2. Great food
3. High degree of comfort but not necessarily luxury
4. Privacy.

Two of my favorites are Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch in Stanley, Idaho and Lake O'Hara Lodge near Field, BC. What's your favorite?

My personal favourite is Strathcona Park Lodge in Northern Vancouver Island.

What sort of rate did you pay at that lodge ellelit?

You didn't happen to get it comped in exchange for writing about it on your blog did you?

Do any of you Ottawa or Toronto folks happen to know the Adventure Lodge located just outside of Algonquin Park? If so, what's your opinion of it?

What about this lodge. Algonquin is a beautiful park. Different from the mountains but still special.

interesting you mention Algonquin. I had stumbled over a place called The Adventure Lodge near there which looked quite nice and reportedly has a good restaurant. Kodi is checking into for me. I will add your suggestion to the mix.

My husband and I drove through Algonquin a number of years ago and after seeing about thirty moose decided we really needed to go back and spend some time. This may be the time!

Thanks, irecommend. Have a very happy holiday.
