6 Hours in Niagara Falls
My wife and I will be taking a visitor, who has never been there, to tour NF. This will occur on Sat Sep 22 and we have about 6 hours for touring plus time for dinner. As many years have passed since we have been to NF thought I’d ask for your recommendations regarding:
1. Itinerary/sights to see. We will have car.
2. Restaurant. Cuisine and $ not critical. Ideally could combine view plus food quality but if not advise why you suggest what you do.
Many thanks in advance.

Start on the Canadian side of the falls for the panoramic view from the street... consider parking the car near the Maid of the Mist attraction and purchasing Maid Tickets...following a quick look and a ride on the Maid, consider choosing one or two from the following attractions: calm Butterfly conservatory, Floral Clock, Botanical Gardens, Aero Car whirlpool.... Medium Fallsview Casino, Whitewater walk, Journey behind the falls... adventurous Whirlpool Jet Boats, Cave of the Winds, helicopter tour...
Once you select and complete your tours from above list, drive up the Niagara Parkway to Niagara on the Lake for Dinner... Choose from Peller, Hildebrand, Riverbend, Vineland and Penninsula Ridge for vineyard dining...all are of high quality.

If you are crossing between the US and Canada, make sure you have passports.
If your visitor is foreign, make sure that re-entry is permitted if you originate in the US.
The recent story above about a British couple who got the 3rd degree at a border crossing station is unreal, but that is the kind of nonsense TSA engages in these days.
On the Canadian side, the Maid of the Mist gives you a close up of the falls and a sample of the spray. There is also an elevator that takes visitors to a tunnel where they may walk underneath the falls at splash basin level.
Be prepared to pay to park.
