Looking to book a cruise next year that leaves from Auckland. Would like to arrive 5-7 days early and see more of NZ. Any suggestions?

We leave Auckland and head towards Tahiti. No stops in New Zealand.

Really want to taste the flavor of the country, so not limited, except maybe by time,to one item of interest.

Head south.

Maybe fly to Queenstown, spend all your time based there.

While I'm not a huge fan of the town of QT, there's no denying that the area is stunning, and you can do quite a lot based from there, w/o having to spend most of your time driving.

In 5-7 five days, you could make the trek to Te Anau and Milford Sound, explore the QT area, visit Wanaka, Glenorchy, Arrowtown and the wine growing region of Cromwell.
