which b&b is best?
Hi,
Was wondering which b&b you would choose? Chalet Romantica or Te Pa Helios? One is in Russell and the other Paihia? Could you tell me which is the best town to stay in? Thanks very much for your help!

Hi there again,
Of the two locations you have shortlisted I have to say I have not stayed in either, however I know where they both are.
To be honest location wise Te Pa Helios wins hands down. There was a segment on it on one of the local lifestyle TV shows here. Very impressive looking. BTW it used to be called Helios Villas, took me a while to figure out the new name was for the same place.

The above link includes a review from someone who has stayed there.
The second of your choices is in the middle of Paihia, not so isolated. Careful photography on their website does not show that you are quite close to neighbouring houses. Still location wise not bad. Paihia is a nice spot and as I have mentioned before is is the starting point for many tourist trips.
Cheers
