Trip photos New Zealand
Here is a link of photos from my one month trip to NZ, just concluded.
The first week began in Auckland, up the east coast to Bay of Islands and Doubtless Bay.
Then across via Kerikeri and the west coast to Helensville, Muriwai Beach, Bethells Beach, Waitakere ranges, and back to Auckland.
I then had 3 weeks in the South Island starting and ending in Dunedin. My route was via Oamaru to Mt. Cook, Methven, Arthurs Pass. Then escaping cold and wind, I drove east til I reached sunshine in Cheviot, then north to Kaikoura where the storm caught up with me again. I gave up on Blenheim, drove south to Waipara, then Christchurch for the Santa Parade. I returned by backtracking again via Tekapo and Twizel, then via Cromwell to Arrowtown and Glenorchy. After a few nights I headed south to Invercargill, then along the Catlins with minimal stops (more stormy weather) ending back at Dunedin.
Although the weather "turned to custard" more than once, it was still wonderful to return to my favorite country.
Still thwarted from visiting Stewart Island, so a return is required.

Migb,
WONDERFUL photos! Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the one of your flip flops, bikkies and brew! I may have to steal that idea from you on my next trip!
It's amazing how many times I see client's photos, or people's sites like yours and I have the exact same shot, taken from the exact same spot! But, I've never had as many lovely shots of flowers as you (or even the cheeky Kea)! Just gorgeous.
But you've piqued my curiosity - where / what is that shot with all the balls stuck in the trees???

thanks for the compliments! The golf balls in cabbage tree is at Oreti Sands Links, in Invercargill's Sandy Point Domain.
I know what you mean about the same photo over and over.
This has been a great year for flowers thanks to all the late rain.
