Time in air - San Fran. to Brisbane

A friend is flying from Brisbane to San Francisco and asked me how many hours the flight takes. It's been a few years since I made the trip and I can't remember precisely how long it took. Can you tell me? Thanks

I would have though that was close but umm, shouldn;t the ticket indicate a departure, arrival and travel time?

It depends on the airline etc. But via Sydney or Auckland the best will be around 17 hours. Coming back probably around 21 hours.

Didn't know they had a direct flight. Probably connecting in Sydney. Depending on the layover, probably around 17 or 18 hours.
