Thailand is probably the best country for travelling
either inexpensively or luxuriously. I've been there
4 times for the past 5 years; each trip is at least
for 2 weeks. I'd like to share my exprience with anyone who's been to or going to this wonderful country!

I've spent 5-6 months on Koh Samui and don't worry
about your age. If time is short and you can
afford it fly directly to Samui. Tell everyone
who is trying to set you up with a hotel that you
are meeting a friend and staying with them. Get
a taxi from the airport to chawang beach go to
The Ark Bar Which is on the beach (run great people) buy a cool one and ask the bartender or one of the
ex pats hanging about where to stay in X dollars
a nite range and you'll be able to walk to
several wunderful places nearby (at various prices)
Don't commit to more than one or two nites stay
because the island has more great places to stay
than you can imagine. Plan to stay in several
different hotels as you explore around the island.
Prices are great for food, lodging, & nite life
Lots of things to do & see
If flying to expensive from bbk take the train
2nd class fan sleeper is comfortable and you meet
great people on the trip who are going to Samui
If your a good judge of people, other travelers
can be a great part of your trip.
Enjoy
Randy

I suppose by now you may have finishet your work, but if not I'll be glad to contribute. My husband and I have visited Thailand several times and are going again this December. We like Thailand very much. But I have a collegue who's just back after travelling around half the world for one year, and they said that Thailand was their only disappointment. I'm sure he'll be glad to contribute as well. His e-mail address is: [email protected]
I think different experiences may have something to do with what budget you're travelling on, even if I obviously can't know for certain.
