Tahiti - best time?

We're wondering when the best time to visit tahiti would be. Our schedule is fairly flexible and could accomodate almost any time of the year although we're anxious to visit soon.....so december would be a long wait.

December would be hi-season and more likely wet season. Best is in the Spring, when it is relatively dry and the prices are much better.

November, Dec, Jan and Feb are the rainy season and are awfully hot too. May and Sept or Oct are great times to go.

Have been there twice, once in early Sept. and another time in late Oct. Both times provided us with good weather and very little rain, however being the tropics, the weather can be somewhat unpredictable. If I were to return again I would probably go sometime during the month of Sept.

Thanks -- that's great news. September will be an easy time to get over there. Now we just have to pick an island....hmmm

We were in Moorea, Bora Bora and Rangiroa in early to mid Sept. Weather was perfect!!! None of the hotels seemed fully booked. Really nice!
