Hi! My family and I are planning to go to Sydney this Sept for a wedding and am looking for affordable self-catering apartments on the north shore. We'd probably be staying a minimum of 2-3 weeks so serviced flats would be nice. We will be 6 adults and 2 children. Have been trying to look around online but am mostly seeing hotels which are a bit too expensive for me. Thanks for your help!

Try this, it's hard to know if they will suit you though as I'm not sure what your expectation of 'affordable' is.

I am staying at the Meriton in Pitt st. right now and it's really good value, practical, comfortable, very spacious. May not be in the right area though....
