Sydney & World Rugby

Hi,
we have the chance to make a quick visit to Sydney but are concerned about the Rugby . Will hotels restaurants and attractions be extremely busy or not too badly affected, coming from UK so would rather not be crowded and hustled!
thanks, Pauline.

You will be fine. If you go to the Rugby, of course there will be a crowd on the day, but otherwise you won't notice any difference.

It is actually (to be pedantic) Rugby League rather than Union which will mean the crowds will not be as great and also a lot of the games are at other venues rather than Sydney itself.

Rugby League has a greater following in NSW than Union, but either way, TwoTravel - you won't need to worry about crowds.

Thank you for the information we're still weighing it up! Sydney or Cape Town!
Pauline.

Sydney or Cape Town - what sort of decision is that! Sydney, of course!

I live here and I haven't even noticed - except that they interrupted my favourite radio programme to broadcast some match when I was returning from down the coast last night. Bastids!

Why start now!

I see the Wallabies are to face the might 6-nation champions soon!

Indeed - Should be a good game, but we have several other better teams to beat before then.. lol

Come on over you can watch it in the pub with me, cos I haven't got a ticket (again)..lol

Well Margo, what a truly brilliant game, I was in a pub next to the stadium and there were loads of aussies there too. I was wearing the Wallabies cap I got 2 years ago at the same pub, nicked from a drunk Aussie lol

Good game and Cardiff was buzzing.

Just in case you forgot the score - it was 21-18

Muckster

I missed the game, but did catch up with the score. I believe it was a pretty good game.

So far, the mighty Wales is the only team to beat us on this tour - significantly better than last year.

Congratulations! (and I can't believe there were/are drunken Aussies!)
