Sydney-Airport to Hotel Transfer Companies

We're planning the details of our 24-day trip to Sydney/Cairns, AUS and South Island, NZ on our own, and wondered if anyone has a recommendation for an airport to hotel transfer in Sydney? Normally, we'd just wait until we arrived and check into buses or taxis. But after long hours of travel, and several pieces of luggage, we'd prefer to have that initial aspect pre-planned. Any experiences from others would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

If there is more than one of you, it's probably just as cheap (and certainly more convenient after a long-leg flight) to take a taxi direct to your hotel. About $50, depending on traffic, to most CBD addresses.

There's also a train, but I think it's about $15 and you'd be toting luggage, no doubt. Then, unless your hotel was very close to one of the railway stations, you'd have to walk/get a cab from there anyway.

Thanks, Bokhara2. We just thought that there might be some reliable transfer company in Sydney which others have used, where we could pre-arrange for an individual driver to be waiting with our names on a sign. In past travel, we've found it to be a big relief when we arrive in a city fatigued from a long flight, with several pieces of luggage. But perhaps, as you suggest, with two of us, the cost in Sydney may make it a better option just to hassle with a taxi. We appreciate your input!

I just booked a transfer from airport to hotel in Sydney through Viator.com. Cost is about $26.00 for 1 person, not sure how much for 2.

Ah sorry, tomarkot - I thought you were looking for one of the hotel bus type shuttles.

For the guy with the sign, you need a limo service.
Here's one - I don't have any experience with them as I'm a local. Prices seem comparable with a taxi

I interpreted your question the same way as Bokhara and agreed with her reply. However, now you might like to try Chauffeur 1095 ( [email protected] ).Telephone number 0400221825.Good luck!

Tomarkot, there are a number of reputable global airport transfer companies (limo-type service), such as Green Path Transfers (http://www.greenpathtransfers.com/), HolidayTaxis (http://www.holidaytaxis.com/) or ResortHoppa (http://www.resorthoppa.com/). It's highly recommended to shop around to find the best price!

Thanks Joey, however blatant advertising is not permitted on Fodor's. In case you didn't notice, this thread is three years old.
