Hi Muck,
The Aussies and Kiwi's sporting rivallry is legendery. We love to beat each other on the sports field but we are also great mates.
I reckon the Aussies are not going to be strong enough to take the All Blacks this weekend and if the French don't get intimidated by the fact they are playing England, it should be an NZ v France final.
Wales gave us some fantastic games over the last two weeks, I hope that they expand on their game in the future.
England are looking shakey, not as strong as they thought they were.
The Wallabies have had an awful year so far and it doesn't look like they are strong enough to beat the AB's but ... having been beaten by them by 1 point way too often, we can't get too complacent.
Go the Blacks......

I guess ours is more than rivalry, The welsh really find the English to be supersillious and patronising.
for example, Clive woodwards post match interview.
So for us here we don't mind really who wins as long as it's not England or France...lol

I have a T-shirt ? given to me by a Pom ? that reads, ?I support two teams, New Zealand and whoever is playing Australia.?
However, I think the truth is that when the chips are down if one of our teams is out we will support the other.

I'm quite sure Mucky. We had taken him and his wife around NZ for three weeks and the shirt was part of their thank you present.
As it happens, he and his wife arrive tomorrow for the weekend, so he will be here to watch the All Blacks down the Wallabies and I will be able to pour him a stiff whisky when England comes all undone.

Anyway we are all expecting a bad result in the Rugby but after that we can watch the Aussies thrash the All Blacks and everyone else in cricket and just about anything else you can name. Anyway it is a temporary setback in the Rugby because we will get it right next time.

Jeez - we've already won 2 of the things - the William Webb Ellis trophy considers Australia home. It's been here longer than anywhere else.
Maybe the All-Blacks will fall over tomorrow night. If we can get past the A-B's then we're home free - only those minnows England or France to face!

I have to admit it, I did not think that the Wallabies would win ( we are talking semis here ) - but then I didn't think that the All Blacks would be absolutely stuffed by the Aussies either. They, the All Blacks, played a pathetic game and had no answer to George's mob. It just goes to show that there are holes in any side.
GO THE WALLABIES FOR THE FINAL!!!!!!!!YEAH!!!!!!

Good grief! We rolled the All-Blacks!
I haven't seen the Wallabies play like that for ages! It (almost) makes up for the thumping the AB's gave the Wallabies earlier this year, again at Olympic Park.
Poms vs Frogs tonight! Bring 'em on!

For those of you who are not from these parts NZ is usually called "the land of the long white cloud" ( 'cause it rains a lot) but after last nights trouncing of the all blacks by the Wallabies its been renamed "the land of the long black shroud" Let this stick folks - I for one love it!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch ...
What a great game the Wallabies played last night, had my beloved All Blacks lost for words, game plan and answers.
We had all but written the aussies off this year but it just goes to show, you can never get too complacent ... and we did !
great stuff, well done and ' all credit'.
We aren't overly upset this side of the Tasman, we have become used to blowing our World Cups chances, don't know why but time and time again we crash and burn.
Now it's up to the Wallabies to take care of the final and keep the Cup in the Southern Hemisphere ... Go you good things !!!

Thought, like so many, that the ABs would win. Proved wrong and a great game. Pessimistic about England's chances - the flair of the French and all that. But on a filthy night in Sydney (but not anything like as filthy as it can be in England - hey, it was still about 18C) England came through. I am mightily chuffed!
So England v Australia. If England were to win in Sydney that would be one fantastic victory. Let's face it, it's been a very long time since England won anything team sports wise.
So go, England. Time to take that trophy up North.

Hey Margo_oz don't you even feel - well even just a little bit - like letting the Poms know something of what its like to have a winning side, well, at "something" ?. Until darts becomes an Olympic sport it all appears to be a tad difficult. Perhaps we shouldn't begrudge them this little trophy.
