Rotorua decision help
We will be in Rotorua in late February and are trying to decide how to spend our short time there. We were recommended to Te Pa Tu for their evening meal/celebration of Maori culture ( sounds like a ton of food and is expensive). We were recommended to Te Puia for the guided walk in the forest. We were recommended to do the Tree Tops Walk.
And we just read about the Mitai Maori Cultural experience which includes dinner.
We would love to hear from folks who have done these, which to choose or if we should try to do all of them.
Thanks in advance.

If you're short on time, go for Te Pa Tu for the immersive Maori culture experience. Te Puia is great for a guided walk with geysers, and the Tree Tops Walk is beautiful but less cultural. Mitai is also good, especially for dinner, but might overlap with Te Pa Tu. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for confirming what we thought. Seemed worth considering whether we'd get as much from Mitai as Te Pa Tu. Good to know.
Also, is the Polynesian Spa worth doing if only for an hour or 2? Can you do it separatey from Mitai package including dinner, etc? Never heard of Wai Ariki

This is unrelated, but do also consider Orakei Korako, Wai-O-Tapu and the Waimangu thermal valley as alternatives to Te Puia. I planned a trip to Rotorua for a family member involving all three and they loved all these geothermal sites.

Thanks so much for recommending Orakei Korako. We just decided to do that on our way from Taupo, since everything I read suggested it was fantastic. Skipping Te Puia, but doing the Maori village tour in Whakarewarewa and the Tree Walk, plus the Te Pa Tu dinner and show. other things don't require any advance booking, but thinking Blue and Green lakes and enjoying Kuirau Park. Now for a dinner restaurant!
