Reflections villa types

Just wondering what the difference is between the Garden villa and the beachfront villas at Reflections? Obvisouly the Gdn will be further back from the beach but is it as good quality in other respects???

Anyone who has stayed at this resort - would love to hear your comments.

Hi, there. I'm sorry, I actually can't help you with your original question - since I've never been. But, I just wanted to say that we are so excited to be booking our trip to the Cook Islands later this year (December). We're using Pacific For Less. They gave us a great price for the 2 weeks we'll be there, including airfare from LAX. We're doing 1 week at the Sokala Villas in a beachfront villa with private pool on Rarotonga and then switching over to the Pacific Resort on Aitutaki, staying in a beachfront bungalow. We considered Reflections, but their villa was more expensive than Sokala. Our total price is less than $7000 total for the 2 weeks, including all transfers, airfare, accommodations. I'm counting the days till we leave! Good luck on your decision. If you're heading to the Cooks before we do, please be sure to come back & give us a report.

Sonia -

Do a search on this board for "Reflections". There was an excellent report back about a month ago. The posters included alot of info about the accommodations, facilities, the owners, they had a car for their time there, etc.

See what your search brings up. It sounded real nice.

Hi Soniac,

I will be heading to Reflections in just a few weeks and I'll post a trip report. HOwever, for what it's worth, I emailed Reflections and spoke to the owners over the phone because I too was trying to make the decision. They told me that the waterfall villas are only 10 feet from the beach. The beachfront villas were too big for me & my husband, they are two bedroom and I hated to pay double the price for something I wasn't going to use. The managers Kelvin & Sarah Price are both so friendly and will answer any questions you have either email or by phone. Their # is: +682 23703.

Their websit offers some pictures and descriptions of each villa, but they focus on the beachfront villas the most. I'm sure you've seen their site already, but just in case you haven't here is their address: www.reflections-rarotonga.com

Good luck, I'll let you know what I thought of them soon.

Hi Sonia,

Just returned from the Cooks on Sat. and we had a fantastic time! Reflections was as nice as the web site made it look. As I mentioned to you ealier we were staying in the waterfall villa, there are only 3 villas 1 waterfall and two beachfront. The waterfall villa is only a few yards away from the beach and you have a nice patio and view of the garden, however, you are right up against the main road and can be a little noisy. But the interior was beautiful, very room and comfortable. I got to see the beach villa and it was goregous and well worth double the price! And perfect for four people. Sarah & Kelvin were so nice and helpful and made us feel right at home. I would recommend Reflections to anyone who wants a very beautiful, comfortable and enjoyable place to stay while on Raro. If you have any other questions let me know.
