Absolutely Diamantina. A very sad week indeed. We're hoping to spend 4-5 weeks on the SI again in April/May, but we may have to limit our visit to your end of the island this time. Currently waiting and watching, as I'm sure you're doing as well.

lovely - seeing the penguins coming up onto the beach in Oamaru was one of the highlights of our trip to the SI. after all the awful news coming out of Kaikora, it's nice to see some good news for a change!
